Math entry #8

Here is my rap.

To find the area,
you got to find the base,
and if you do it right,
I will give you a case.
It has the area,
and you just need multiply,
and don't forget to put the measurement square,
then I will give a huge pair.

Math Entry #7

Today we were reviewing perimeter and area and i kept on getting them mixed up, so i thought of this. To get area you have to multiply base x height, so i just think of multiplacation and i remember area. To get perimeter you have to add up all the sides and you got the perimeter so now i just think of addition and i remember you add in perimeter, not multply.

Math Entry #6 ( Math Journal)

Today, we learned about finding the area of a triangle, and I will tell you how. First you a triangle and measure the base and height.( Remember to find the height in the middle of the triangle, not one of the sides.) Once your done, you multipy those to numbers, then divide the answer by 2. If done correctly, you shood have the area of a triangle. That is what we learned in class today.

Math entry #5 (Math Journal)

To find the perimeter of a paralellagram, first you have to draw a vertical line at the end so it meets both sides and you mesure that. then you just measure the top or bottom line. then multiply those two numbers and you found your area. to find the perimeter you hav e to multipy the width by two and same with the height. then you got to add them all up to get the perimeter.

Math Entry #4 ( My Journal )

The Question was:

The perimeter of a triangle is 16cm. What is the missing measure? Record your work on your journal blog and express the measurements in cm and mm.

The side with 41mm is 4.1 cm, 5cm is 50mm, and the last side is 69mm is 6.9cm. The total in mm is 160mm and in cm is 16 cm.

Math Entry #3 ( My Journal )

The choices were:
Domenico Wrote: P = length + Width + Length + Length.
46 = 16 + 7 + 16 +7.
Diane wrote: P + (Length x 2) + (width x 2)
46 = (2 x 16) + (2 x width
Owen wrote: P = 2 ( length + width).
46 = 2 ( 16 + width).

I think Owen's way was the easiest because it is really easy to do and is the fasts!

Math entry #2 (My Journal)

~My Journal~

I have learned That you have add up all the measurements To get the sum of the perimeter. I have learned about perimeter along time ago in grade 3.
